Main Line Restaurant Week: Sept. 27 - Oct. 3

Join us for a week of culinary delights as we participate in AroundMainLine.com's Main Line Restaurant Week. This promises to be the Philadelphia suburbs' largest dining event ever!  With dozens of the region's finest restaurants participating in this weeklong event, Main Line Restaurant Week offers foodies an exciting opportunity to dine all around the Main Line and surrounding suburbs for a great value.  The week of culinary delights begins Monday, September 27th and runs through Sunday, October 3rd.

Participating restaurants will offer special three-course prix-fixe menus showcasing their chef's greatest dishes. We'll have something special cooking just for you here at A Taste of Britain!

Main Line Restaurant Week Menu

1st Course

  • Carrot Ginger Soup
  • English Stilton, Apple and Candied Walnut Salad Tossed with Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • Flatbread - Chef's Selection

2nd Course

  • Shepherd's Pie (Made with Ground Lamb, Sautéed Onions and Carrots and Topped with Creamy Mashed Potatoes)
  • Chicken Curry (Served over Basmati Rice and Paired with a Crisp Apple Salad)
  • Salmon En Croute (Atlantic Salmon Nestled in Homemade Pastry with a Spinach Mascarpone Dill Sauce)

3rd Course

  • Warm Gingerbread Topped with Lemon Curd

Join us for tea from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, while Michael answers questions and signs copies of his new mystery Along Came A Fifer, the first book in his Ernie Bisquets Mystery Series. This series, featuring the fictional world of the East London Adventurers Club, combines Michael's creative talents with his passion for art and antiquities.

Principal Harpist of the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra, Mindy Cutcher performs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Symphonic engagements include the Baltimore and Delaware Symphonies, St. Louis Symphony and Philadelphia's Chamber Orchestra and Opera Orchestra. Ms. Cutcher gained national exposure when she made her network television debut on The Tonight Show. She developed an international reputation, performing for several engagements in Japan and on world cruise ships.

After winning the Baltimore Youth Concerto Competition in high school, Ms. Cutcher received her Bachelor of Music Degree at Oberlin Conservatory and studied with Alice Chalifoux. She currently resides outside of Philadelphia with her husband, Steve, also an accomplished musician, and their two chilrdren.

A Taste of Britain's grand re-opening in our new shop is on Tuesday, October 13, 2009!

We will resume our normal business hours of 10am-5pm, Mondays through Saturdays.

Come see our fresh new interior! We have ample parking, and you can expect the same delicious food, and the same great staff! Our new shop is in the former Seidenburg Luggage location, between Gramercy and Ellie.
